All concerts will take place outdoors at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. A ticket is required for admission to each concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-el wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-cinnabar-color\">Tickets will go on sale in January 2028.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The Artistic Director of the Song Festival is conductor Riivo J\u00f5gi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Friday, 7 July \u2013 Procession<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The day begins with the traditional procession. All participants will march in columns arranged by county along a 5-kilometre route from Freedom Square in Tallinn city centre to the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The procession can be watched free of charge anywhere along the entire route up to the Song Festival Grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Friday, 7 July \u2013 First Song Festival Concert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The Song Festival begins with an opening ceremony. The combined choirs will gather on stage, the President of Estonia will deliver a speech, and the festival flame will be lit in the tower at the Song Festival Grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The opening ceremony will be followed by a community sing-along. The audience will have the opportunity to join the choirs in singing songs well known and loved by Estonians. Each song in the programme represents a different decade, from the 1860s to the present day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The concert takes place outdoors. Tickets will be available for both numbered seats and general admission areas. Numbered seating is more expensive, while general admission tickets are more affordable. At the previous Song Festival, some ticket categories sold out within the first 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors should be prepared for both rain and sunshine. Please note that umbrellas are not permitted at the Song Festival Grounds. Sharp objects, weapons, easily breakable items, glass containers and similar objects are also prohibited. The title of the day, <strong>\u201cThe Way of Being Oneself\u201d<\/strong>, also reflects the content of the programme, which includes many works inspired by love of one\u2019s homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Amateur wind orchestras will also perform their own programme. The day will culminate with a large combined choir of adult singers gathering on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The concert takes place outdoors. Before long, they will be the ones carrying the Song Festival tradition forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">Amateur symphony orchestras will also perform their own programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the concert, the true spirit of togetherness will come to life as grandparents, children and grandchildren gather at the Song Festival Grounds. The grand combined choir will perform some of Estonia\u2019s most anticipated and beloved works, including Peep Sarapik and Juhan Liiv\u2019s <strong>\u201cTa lendab mesipuu poole\u201d<\/strong> and, of course, Gustav Ernesaks and Lydia Koidula\u2019s <strong>\u201cMu isamaa on minu arm\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el wp-block-paragraph\">The concert takes place outdoors.
